Huskie forward Andrew Spagrud
"Andrew has had an outstanding season," said Huskie head coach Greg Jockims. "He faces double and sometimes triple-teams every night, yet he has consistently been dominant at both ends of the floor. His hard work and preparation in the summer really helped him take his game to a whole new level this year."

Spagrud also finished fifth in Canada West, and sixth in the nation, in field goal percentage (.611). He also ranked eighth in the league, and 18th in the country in steals with 2.1 per game.

A two-time All-Canadian, Spagrud also leads the nation in double-doubles with 24 overall (16 in conference play) and defensive rebounds (7.95 per game).

He tied his career-high with 41 points on January 5th against Lethbridge, and has cracked the 30-point mark five times this season. He also tied a career-high with 18 rebounds against Victoria on February 2nd.

He has set numerous school season and career records this season. He broke the school's all-time scoring record for conference play on February 9th at Calgary, breaking a record that had stood for almost 20 years. He now has 1743 points in 82 career conference games. Roger Ganes previously held the record with 1707 points in 98 career games.

This is the third straight season that he has been named First Team All-Conference. He was also the Canada West Player of the Year as a sophomore in 2004-05. As a freshman was named to the second team as well as being the conference and national Freshman of the Year.
