Spagrud scores 3000th career point vs. UBC

Saskatoon, SK - Andrew Spagrud reached a career milestone during Saskatchewan's Canada West semi-final loss Friday night against UBC.

Spagrud, a fourth-year senior forward from Saskatoon, became only the second Huskie in the program's history to score 3000 career points. He reached the milestone on a layup two minutes into the first half. Spagrud finished the game with 30 points. He added another 30 points on Saturday night in a victory over Victoria in the third place game, bringing his career total to 3056.

Four-time All-Canadian Byron Tokarchuk holds the school career scoring record. Tokarchuk, a 6-foot-9 forward, scored 3445 points in 171 career games from 1983-88. Tokarchuk scored his 3000th career point on January 22, 1988 at Calgary in his 154th career game.
