Huskie Men's Basketball and Basketball Saskatchewan Inc. are pleased to present the Ken Shields Coaching Clinic on Saturday, October 20th in Saskatoon. Basketball coaches at all levels throughout the province are invited to attend and have a chance to learn from one of the best basketball coaches in the world.
The four- hour session will be conducted on-court, with players running through the drills and skills so you see exactly how you can teach your own players. Coaches will also receive lunch and a ticket to both games that night at the Huskiehoops.com Shootout.

Time: 9:30 am - 2:15 pm; 5:00 Regina vs. Memorial, 7:00 Lakehead at Saskatchewan
Cost (Payable at the door.): $20 includes lunch and a ticket for two CIS games that night

Ken Shields, a member of the Canadian Basketball Hall of Fame, is a Canadian coaching legend and has coached at the highest levels of basketball not only in Canada but around the world. He was head coach at Laurentian University (1970-76) before becoming the head coach at the University of Victoria (1976-1989). During his last eleven years at Victoria, his Vikes teams made the national finals nine times and won seven consecutive National Championships.
He was the head coach of the Senior Men's National Team (1989-94). Previous to this and while at the UVic he coached the BC Provincial Men's Team, Canada's Junior National Team and Canada's B Team.
He has also coached professionally in Japan (1998-00), and was an assistant coach with the Japanese National Team (2001). He was also an assistant coach with the Australian National Team (2002-04) which competed in the 2004 Athens Olympic Games.
He served as a consultant to the Milwaukee Bucks of the NBA (2006) and is currently the head coach of the Georgian National Team.
