Host Huskies look to defend tourney title

Graham Construction Shootout begins Thursday

Saskatoon, SK - The Saskatchewan Huskies will continue their 2008-09 regular season when they host the Tenth Annual Graham Construction Shootout beginning Thursday night.

Saskatchewan (4-0), which won last year's Shootout title, will welcome three challenging opponents to the Physical Activity Complex. Saskatchewan will play Central Division rivals Lethbridge and Calgary on Thursday and Friday, before closing out the tournament Saturday night against Windsor. Both Calgary and Windsor spent the majority of last season ranked in the top ten nationally.

The Lethbridge Pronghorns (2-3) finished third at last week's Nike Invitational in Montreal. Calgary (0-2) has not played since Labour Day weekend when they dropped two close games to the NCAA Division I Montana Grizzlies. Windsor (3-3) spent last weekend in Nova Scotia, winning all three games on their trip against AUS schools.

The Huskies are coming off of a victory over Regina last Wednesday. With only four players back from last year's squad, the young Huskies will be tested with some stiff competition on their home court.
