Arnold helps organize and assist with the players training when they off the basketball court. This includes their work in the weight room, on the track and during plyometrics training. Under his direction the Dogs' intense offseason training program has seen the team make great gains in strength and athleticism.
Arnold is currently Coordinator of the Human Performance Center and the Center for Elite Hockey Conditioning in the College of Kinesiology. The Center for Elite Hockey Conditioning has been the training center of choice for such players as Kyle Calder, Brenden Morrow, Shane Endicott, Blake Evans, Mike Garnett and Greg Classen.
Arnold is also currently in charge of the strength and conditioning programs for the Saskatoon Blades Hockey Club, Saskatoon Hilltop Football Club and most of the University of Saskatchewan athletic teams.
He has also presented at numerous local, provincial and national events and has developed training programs for athletes participating at the national and international level.
He completed his Master of Science in 1997 (Exercise Physiology) in the area of training and detraining of college athletes.
Arnold is also in his 13th season as Offensive Line and Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Huskies football team. During his tenure, he has coached numerous All-Conference and All-Canadian players along the O-line. Five of his former players are currently playing professionally in the Canadian Football League. The Huskies have made four appearances in the Vanier Cup, and won two National Championships (1996, 1998) while he has been an assistant coach. He recently completed his Level IV NCCP Coaching Certification.
As a player, Arnold spent five years as an offensive lineman for the Dogs. He was co-captain of the 1990 National Championship team, which was the school's first title.
