Huskies: Mark originally committed to the Dogs the last week of April, 2003... He spent the 2003-04 season with the team as a redshirt, and now he returns to the program after a year off to let his surgically-repaired ankle heal... An outstanding athlete, he has a great first step to go along with his explosive vertical jump... A great shooter, he can hit the three just as easily as he can drive to the hoop... Is an good shot blocker... Will look to improve his strength so he will be ready for the physical play in Canada West... As a perimeter player has a combination of size and athleticism that makes him a tough matchup... Will be able to earn playing time and make a solid contribution as a redshirt-freshman.

2004-05: Sat out the season to let his surgically-repaired ankle heal.

2003-04 (Freshman): Redshirted, practicing with the team for the first four weeks of the season... Played 10 minutes in the first game of the season vs. Alberta 10/09/03 in Lloydminster, going 0-2 from the field... Had surgery on his troublesome right ankle 11/28/03... Did not practice the rest of the season.

High School: Played for coach Scott Hundseth at St. Joseph in Saskatoon... Played three years for the Guardians senior squad... As a senior was the team captain and led the team to a fifth place finish in the city... Lost a controversial city quarter-final by two points to Bishop Mahoney... Was named First Team All-City by the Saskatoon StarPhoenix for the second consecutive season, despite missing almost a month with a severe ankle injury... Named an All-Star at the Bedford Road Invitational Tournament and Mount Royal Tip-Off Classic... As a junior attended the prestigious Nike All-Canada Camp... Guardians finished third in the city... Named First Team All-City by the Saskatoon StarPhoenix... Was an All-Star at the Mount Royal Tip-Off Classic, Winnipeg Invitational Tournament (hosted by Tec Voc) and St. Joseph Classic... Played on the Saskatchewan Juvenile (U17) Provincial Team in the summer of 2001... As a sophomore helped the Guardians to a second place finish in the city... Also finished third at the Provincial Championships... Played that season with former Huskie guard Mark Thompson... As a freshman led the Guardians junior varsity to the City Championship... Was a teammate of former Huskie Cam Penner for two years... Played his club basketball with the Junior Huskies... Graduated in June of 2003.

Personal: Born February 10, 1985 in Saskatoon, SK... Parents are Kurt and Audrey Breker... Has one older brother, Adam... Made the Academic Honour Roll all four years in high school... Enrolled in the College of Kinesiology... Lists Manu Ginobili of the San Antonio Spurs as one of the players he likes to watch... Says the Dallas Mavericks are his favourite team.
