Outlook: Trent has impressed the coaching staff with his court smarts and work-ethic... He will be called upon to provide some of the muscle in the Huskies lineup with his ability to bang down low in the paint... Has developed a nice medium-range shot... He has worked hard coming back from a serious knee injury he suffered as a senior in high school and is showing the old spring in his legs again... He is getting quicker and stronger everyday as he builds on his natural power and strength.

2004-05 Season: Was a team co-captain... Played in 17 games... Missed the first 19 games of the season due to injury... Had successful surgery to clean up a lingering knee injury on November 3rd... Returned to the lineup November 27th at Calgary... Finished third on team with five charges taken... Scored six points, going 3-4 from the field vs. No. 7 UBC January 21st... Played a season-high 25 minutes that night, and tied a season-high with three rebounds... Had a season-high seven points and three boards in victory vs. No. 8 Victoria January 23rd... Scored five points in game three of division final vs. Alberta February 26th.

2003-04 Season: Played in 29 games... Shot 12-14 (.857) from the free throw line for the seaosn... Had season-high five rebounds against Alberta October 9th in Lloydminster... Also had five boards, including three offensive vs. Alberta February 6th... Scored season-high six points at Brandon October 30th... Also had six points at Alberta February 20th in game one of division semi-final... Named a Canadian Interuniversity Sport Academic All-Canadian, for maintaining at least an 80% average over 18 credit units... Also named to the Huskie Athletics All-Academic First Team, for having at least an 80% average over 24 credit units.

2002-03 Season: Inserted into the starting lineup in late-November before injury forced him to miss four games at the end of January... Started 13 of the 27 games he played... Scored a season-high 18 points in a victory over Alberta November 23rd... Was 7-9 from the field that night in 28 minutes of action... Tied his season-high when he played 28 minutes vs. UBC February 8th... Scored 12 points on 4-5 shooting at Simon Fraser November 8th... Reached double-figures in points three times... Had a career-high seven rebounds twice, vs. Memorial October 26th and vs. Alberta 22nd... Was named to the Huskie Athletics All-Academic Second Team, for having an average of at least 75% over a minimum of 24 credit units for the academic year.

2001-02 Season: Played very well backing up star Calvin Palmer, showing an improved outside shooting stroke as the season went on... Led the Huskies in field goal shooting, with a .529 shooting percentage... Led the team with a season-high three steals at Lethbridge January 25th... Started his first career game at Lethbridge January 25th, had eight points and five rebounds... Had a season-high 20 points vs. Victoria on 10-16 shooting after starting and seeing 26 minutes of action... Cracked double digits in points four times... Averaged 5.7 ppg during conference play as well as 3.0 rebounds per game, fifth best on the team... Led the Dogs in rebounds with six at Lethbridge January 25th... Named a Canadian Interuniversity Sport Academic All-Canadian, for maintaining at least an 80% average over 18 credit units... Also named to the Huskie Athletics All-Academic First Team, for having at least an 80% average over 24 credit units.

High School: Played for coach Jason Nicurity at Sheldon-Williams Collegiate in Regina... Was the Spartans captain as a senior... Missed a couple months of action as a senior after seriously injuring his knee... Returned to help the Spartans win the prestigious Luther Invitational Tournament in Regina... Spartans lost in the city semi-final... Attended the prestigious Nike All-Canada Camp... As a junior was an RIBL All-Star, as selected by the league's coaches... Graduated in June of 2000.

Personal: Born April 21, 1982 in Regina, SK... Parents are Cliff and Kathie Folk... Has one older brother, Shane... Enrolled in Engineering... Red-shirted at the Univeristy of Alberta in 2000-01 while recovering from his knee injury... Transferred to the University of Saskatchewan in fall of 2001... The Dallas Mavericks are his favourite NBA team... Says forward Dirk Nowitzki is his favourite player... Lists school and basketball as his hobbies.
