Huskies: Committed to the Huskies on March 25th, 2007.

Junior College: Played for coach Jason McLester at Medicine Hat College... As a sophomore was a team captain... Was named Second Team All-South Division... Led the Rattlers in scoring (15.4 ppg), rebounding (8.3 rpg), steals (1.7 spg) and blocks (0.8 bpg)... Finished seventh in the ACAC South Division in scoring, and second in rebounding... Scored 23 points vs. SAIT 01/12/07... Grabbed 16 rebounds at Red Deer 10/2/0/06 and vs. LCC 01/19/07... Was 10-12 from free throw line 10/20/06 at Red Deer... Had season-highs of four assists and four steals (twice)... As a freshman averaged 6.6 points and 2.6 rebounds per game... Shot 50.0% from the three-point line (15-30)... Scored 20 points vs. Briercrest 01/28/06, and was 4-6 from beyond the arc... Had season-highs of ten rebounds and four assists vs. Red Deer 11/18/05.

High School: Played for coach Ryan Boughen at Peacock Collegiate in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan... Played two years for the Toilers senior squad... Helped lead them to two consecutive City Championships... As a senior led the team to a 10-0 record in league play... Lost provincial 5A quarter-final to Saskatoon E.D. Feehan 73-71... Finished fifth at provincial championships... Led the team, and finished second in the league, in scoring with 18.6 points per game... Also led the team in rebounding... As a junior helped team to a 9-1 record in league play... As a sophomore and freshman helped lead the junior varsity to two city titles... Graduated in June of 2005.

Personal: Born October 4, 1985 in Findlater, Saskatchewan... Parents are George and Marianne Gottselig... Is one of ten children, with eight older siblings and one younger... Brother Mark played basketball at the University of Regina (1988-93)... He was named Second Team All-GPAC three times (1990-91, 1991-92, 1992-93) for the Cougars... One brother, Matthew, and three sisters, Pamela, Daphne and Marie, all played basketball at MHC as well... Cousin Ryan Gottselig was a three-time All-Canadian defensive tackle with the Huskies football team (2001-05)... He was drafted by the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the sixth round, 48th overall, of the 2005 CFL Draft... Will work towards a degree from the College of Education... Says his favourite players are Chris Bosh and Dirk Nowitzki... Was an honour roll student in grades 9, 10 and 11... Enjoys helping this father out on the family farm.
