Huskies: Kyle made the Huskies after an impressive training camp this September... Joins the squad after spending his first two years out of high school playing in a senior men's league... Is a smart player, a very good passer... Can also shoot from three-point range... Huskie fans will enjoy watching his toughness and hustle for the Green & White.

2005-06 Season:Named All-Central Division... Has played in 37 games... Is averaging 11.0 points, 3.2 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 2.2 steals per game... Leads the team in assists and steals... Set a new class record for steals in a season by a junior with 80... Had a career-high eight assists vs. Calgary 02/11/06... Missed game vs. Alberta 02/03/06 with knee injury... Returned to play the next night vs. Alberta despite not practicing all week... Played 33 minutes that night helpig the Huskies clinch the Central Division regular season title... Scored 23 points and was 12-16 from the line, and had four steals in win at Brandon 11/25/05... Recorded first career double-double with 18 points and 10 boards vs. Lakehead 10/15/05... Named to All-Tournament team at Super 8 Tournament in Brandon... Set a career-high with eight steals vs. UNBC 10/07/05... Scored 27 points on 9-12 shooting, including 4-5 from beyond the arc, vs. Regina 09/28/05 in his hometown of Moose Jaw.

2004-05 Season: Named the team's Defensive Player of the Year... Averaged 9.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.6 steals per game... Shot .427 from beyond the arc... Scored 24 points on 9-10 shooting, including 4-5 threepointers, at Trinity Western 02/11/05... Scored career-high 28 points on 11-15 shooting, including 4-5 from downtown, vs. Alberta 12/29/04... Had 14 points and three steals vs. Manitoba 11/21/04... Scored 15 points, was 3-4 from downtown vs. Winnipeg 11/19/04... Had 16 points on 7-10 shooting and five assists at Lethbridge 11/13/04... Scored 15 points on 5-7 shooting from the floor, and 5-5 shooting from the line vs. Montana Tech 10/23/04... Had 15 points at Memorial 10/15/04.

2003-04 Season: Won the team's Junkyard Dog Player of the Year award, given annually to the Huskie who consistently makes the most hustle plays as charted by the coaching staff... Averaged 6.9 points, 2.3 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 2.1 steals per game... Finished fourth in the nation in steals per game in conference play with 2.5 per game... That ranked him third in Canada West... Injured right knee in first half vs. SFU 01/30/04 and missed the rest of the season...Matched career-high with 20 points on 8-11 shooting at Lethbridge 01/24/04... Had conference high seven steals against Calgary 01/10/04... Had 16 points and career-best seven boards in overtime win at Manitoba 01/16/04... Had conference high seven steals at Alberta 11/29/03... Made first career start 11/16/03 at Victoria... Established a career-high with 20 points off the bench vs. Brandon 11/7/03 on 7-10 shooting, including 3-5 from beyond the arc... Named All-Tournament at Applebees Invitational Tournament at Manitoba.

High School: Played for coach Ryan Bougher at Central Collegiate in Moose Jaw... Played three seasons with the senior squad... As senior was the Cyclones captain, leading them to an 9-1 reord in league play... Led the team and league in scoring with 22.4 points per game... Also led the team in three-point shooting... Led the Cyclones to the 2001 City and 3A Provincial Championships... Named Central's "Mr. Basketball", awarded to the team's MVP... Named to numerous tournament All-Star teams... As a junior helped the Cyclones finish second in the city, had an 11-1 league record... Also finished second at the 3A Provincial Championships... Was the Cyclones third leading scorer with 12.2 points per game... As a sophomore helped the Cyclones win the City and 3A Provincial Championships... Also played football, and was a team captain as a senior... Graduated in June of 2001.

Personal: Born August 18, 1983 in Moose Jaw, SK... Parents are Diane and Brian Grant... Father is Mark Albert... Enrolled in the College of Kinesiology... Is not related to teammate Mitch Grant... Says Tracy McGrady and Dirk Nowitzki are his favourite players... The Dallas Mavericks are his favourite NBA team... Also enjoys wakeboarding and snowboarding in his free time.
