Huskies: Mitch is a tireless worker on the court and in the weightroom... His play as a shooter, defender and all around tough guy were a big reason the Dogs played so well in the second half of last season... Knows that he will never dunk, but with hard work he can play against bigger players and can defend, score and still impact the game with his heart... Is a gym rat, can always be found in the gym shooting... Is one of the strongest Huskies, despite being the smallest... 2000-01: Spent the season practicing with the Dogs as a redshirt... 2001-02: Led the Huskies and Canada West in three-point shooting percentage (.524)... Finished second in the country in three-point percentage... Only played half the year due to injury... Had a season-high 18 points vs. Alberta February 1st... Matched his season-high with 18 points vs. Victoria on February 8th in 23 minutes, also added five rebounds... Went 4-5 from three-point range and scored 14 points in an 86-81 victory at Calgary January 18th... Averaged 8.7 points per game, which ranked sixth on the team.
