Huskies: Tyler is a gym rat who loves the game... He is a strong shooter and a skilled ball-handler... Will take this year to work on getting stronger in the weightroom... Has the ability to be a good CIS point guard and has a lot of tough opponents and teachers to learn from in practice... 2001-02: Will spend the season practicing with the Dogs as a redshirt.

High School: Played for coach Scott Hundseth at St. Joseph High School in Saskatoon... As a senior was team captain... Named MVP twice and won one All-Star award at tournaments... Guardians lost in the city semi-final... Led Guardians in points and assists... Named team MVP... As a junior helped helped the Guardians finish third at the Provincial Championships after being city-finalists... Played one season with current Huskies guard Mark Thompson... Played two summers (2001,2002) with the Junior Dogs Club Team... Graduated in June of 2002.

Personal: Born September 25, 1984 in Saskatoon, SK... Parents are Kent and Judy Hartshorn... Has a younger brother Jordan, and a younger sister, Rebecca... Is enrolled in the College of Arts & Science... Says Kobe Bryant is his favourite player... The Los Angeles Lakers are his favourite NBA team... Lists drama and music as his hobbies.
