Huskies: James is one of the best scorers in Canada... He can shoot from downtown and attack the rim off the dribble... James' desire to win, athleticism and creativity make him an exciting player to watch... He has established himself as one of the best game dunkers in Huskie history... 1999-00: Had one of the most impressive seasons by a Huskie freshman ever... Won the Dr. Peter Mullins Trophy as the National Rookie of the Year... Was also the Canada West Rookie of the Year, and named to the Canada West All-Rookie team... Named Second Team All-Conference as selected by the coaches... Led the Dogs in scoring with 17 ppg... Also hit a team-high 45 three-pointers... Helped lead the Huskies to a 10-10 conference record and a playoff berth after they went 1-19 the year before... 2001-02: Returned to the Dogs after a year away at Langara College to get his academics in order... Scored 42-points vs. Regina in a 94-90 victory on October 13th... Led the Huskies in points (34), rebounds (10), assists (4), steals (2) and blocks (2) at Brandon November 23rd as the Dogs lost a close game 88-94... Helped the Dogs win their first Canada West Playoff series win under Greg Jockims when they defeated Lethbridge two games to one in the Mountain Division Semi-Final... Had a team-playoff-high 34 points at Alberta in game two of the Mountain Division Championship... Led the Dogs in scoring with 19.7 ppg... Finished second on the team in assists with 3.3 per game, third in rebounds at 4.3 per game... Led the Huskies in minutes played at 33.1 a game.

High School: Played for coach Mark Tamblyn at Brookswood in Langley, BC... Led the Bobcats to a 5th place finish at the "AAA" Provincial Championships as a senior... Was also named All-British Columbia... Won numerous tournament MVP and All-Star awards... Led the Bobcats in scoring as a junior and senior... Was team captain as a senior... Also played on British Columbia's Juvenile (U-17) and Junior (U-19) Provincial teams... Graduated in June of 1999.

Personal: Born March 10, 1981 in Surrey, BC... Parents are Chuck and Sandy Kenyon... Sister, Sarah, is two years younger... Is enrolled in Unclassified Studies... Favourite NBA team is the Dallas Mavericks... Says Michael Jordan is his favourite player.
