David Neufeld   Forward 6'8", 200 lbs. Sophomore Arts & Science Saskatoon, SK Evan Hardy

Huskies: David committed to the Dogs on March 22, 2006... Has the ability to play both inside and outside with his mobility and shooting touch... Can drive to the hoop and also has consistent three-point range... Really uses his body well in the paint and on the boards... Long arms cause problems for opposing players on defense... Will need to get stronger in preparation for Canada West battles... Has a chance to contribute right away after the Huskies graduated two fifth-year forwards. High School: Played for coach Jeff Colquhoun at Evan Hardy Collegiate Institute in Saskatoon... Played three years for the Souls' senior squad... As a senior was a team captain, leading the team to a 20-12 overall record and a third place finish in the province... Team was also city finalists... Was named First Team All-City by the Saskatoon StarPhoenix... Was also a nominee for player of the year by the same publication... Selected to play in the Players Ball All-Star game, where he also won the three-point shooting contest... Led the team and city in scoring with 24.9 points per game... Also averaged 12 rebounds a game... Scored 34 points in victories against both Regina Winston Knoll and Regina Campbell at the 6A provincial championships... Was named to the All-Tournament team at the Mount Royal Tip-Off Classic tournament in early December after averaging 28.3 points per game... As a junior was named Second Team All-City by the Saskatoon StarPhoenix... Played his club basketball with the Junior Huskies... Played for Team Sask at the 2005 Canada Games, earning a bronze medal... Will graduate in June of 2006. Personal: Born February 26, 1988 in Saskatoon, SK... Parents are Eric Neufeld and Char Warkentin Neufeld... Eric is a professor in the computer science department at the UofS... Has one older brother, Brahm, and one younger sister, Jamie... Has been an honour roll student all four years in high school... Says Chris Bosh of the Toronto Raptors is his favourite player.
