Huskies: Andrew committed to the Dogs Monday, May 12th, 2003... His quickness, speed, strength and toughness will help him make an immediate impact in Canada West... An outstanding rebounder, is known for his leaping ability and powerful dunks... Also has the ability to play outside, as he can hit the three... Has great work ethic, and plays at a high level of intensity... Should become a fan favourite early with his great work ethic and intensity.

2005-06:Was named a Second Team All-Canadian... Named First Team All-Conference... Was also selected as the Central Division Player of the Year... Played in 35 games this season... Missed three games at the Super 8 Tournament in Brandon due to the flu... Averaging 17.9 points, 7.9 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.9 steals per game... Leads team in scoring and rebounding... Ranked 15th in the nation in scoring and 14th in rebounding... Finished seventh in Canada West in scoring... Ranked fifth in the conference in rebounding and ninth in field gaol percentage... Recorded his 2000th career point, only the fourth Huskie to do so, vs. Alberta 02/25/06 on layup with 4:49 remaining in the first half... Became the fastest Huskie to reach the mark, doing it in his 103rd game... Scored 28 points and had 10 rebounds at UBC 03/03/06 in conference semi-final... Had double-double of 16 points and 12 boards vs. Alberta 02/25/06 in Game 2 of Central Final... Played all 40 minutes that night... Scored 26 points and grabbed six rebounds vs. Alberta in Game 1 of the Central Final 02/24/06... Was 12-13 from the free throw line that night... Scored 17 points, nine rebounds and seven assists in victory at Lethbridge 01/27/05... Was 6-7 from the floor that night... Had 28 points and 12 boards vs. Thompson Rivers 01/07/06... Also handed out career-high eight assists that night... Grabbed season-high 13 boards at Old Dominion 11/02/05... Had seven offensive rebounds at William & Mary 11/01/05... Finished with 22 points and ten rebounds that night... Also had 15 points on 7-11 shooting that night... Scored a tournament-record 33 points and had 10 rebounds vs. Concordia 10/22/05 at the Huskiehoops.com Shootout... Was named to All-Tournament team.

2004-05: Named First Team All-Canadian... Finished second in voting for Moser Award as national player of the year... Named Canada West Conference Player of the Year... Was also First Team All-Conference... Named CIS National Male Athlete of the Week twice... Honoured as Canada West male Athlete of the Week twice... Won teams Most Outstanding Player award... Finished second in the conference and nation in scoring with 21.8 points per game in conference play... Also finished second in Canada West in rebounding, averaging 10.7 boards a game, ranking fifth in the country... Shot 60.4 percent from the field in conference play, which ranked fourth in the league and seventh in the country... Also finished sixth in the conference in steals with 1.95 per game, tied for 14th in the nation... Led the country in double-double with 20... Scored 30 points and grabbed 14 rebounds at Regina 01/30/05... Had 19 points, nine rebounds and eight assists in loss at Winnipeg 12/30/04 in the final of the Wesmen Classic... Was named to the All-Tournament team... Scored 39 points had 11 rebounds vs. Manitoba 11/21/04... Had 36 points and eight boards against Winnipeg 11/19/04... Became he fastest Huskie to score 1000-career points, reaching the mark in 49 games that night... Reached the mark on a converted a free throw with 13:15 to play in the second half, becoming the 28th Huskie in the program's history to reach the milestone... Was 12-16 from the floor, and 12-15 from the free throw line that night... Was 10-11 from the floor, and 6-7 from the line at Lethbridge 11/12/04, finishing with 27 points... Named Most Valuable Player at the Huskiehoops.com Shootout and Golden Bear Invitational as the Huskies won both tournaments... Had 23 points on 8-11 shooting and 12 boards vs. Concordia 10/30/04 in final of Golden Bear Invitational... Was 8-9 from the floor and scored 23 points vs. Queen’s 10/16/04 at St. John’s... Named to the All-Tournament team at the 'Hawk Eyes Invitational.

2003-04: Had one of the best season’s for a freshman in Huskie and Canada West Conference history... Set or tied 32 Huskie season, single game and freshman records... Named the Canada West Rookie of the Year by the conference coaches... Also named Second Team All-Conference... In October was one of 25 players named to Canada Basketball’s Under-21 National Team 2004 watch list... Started all 32 games as a true freshman... Led the team in scoring, rebounding, field goal percentage and minutes played... Was second in scoring in Canada West Conference games, with 21.5 points per game... That average also ranks second in the country... Was the only freshman ranked in the top 39 in scoring in the nation... Led the conference and the nation in rebounds with 10.8 per game... Also led the nation in offensive rebounds (4.4/game)... Finished second in the conference in field goal percentage (.590)... That ranks seventh in the nation... Hit the most field goals in Canada West in conference games this season (167)... Ranked fifth in Canada West in steals per game (2.05)... That average tied for 13th nationally... Led the country and conference in double-doubles with 18 through all games... Has scored 20-plus points in 16 games, and been in double-figures in 30 of 32 games... Has lead team in points 17 times and rebounds 29 times... Had 19 points and 12 boards at Alberta 2/21/04 in the second game of the Central Division Semi-Final... Also added a career-high five steals that night... Scored a career-high 41 points in the final conference game of the season at Calgary 2/14/04 in a 99-98 loss to the No. 5 Dinos... That total was the most points in a single game by any player in the country this season... Gabe Goree of St. Mary's also scored 41 vs. Acadia in November... Ranks as the second best total in conference play in Huskie history, behind Dean Weibe's 47 at Calgary 11/27/93... Was 15-23 from the floor for the game, including three monster dunks, and scored 29 points in the second half... Was 3-4 from beyond the arc, and 8-9 from the free throw line... Also had 11 rebounds and three steals... Was 10-12 from the floor vs. Alberta 2/7/04... Finished with 23 points and 13 rebounds... Named Canada West Male Athlete of the Week for the second time in four weeks following his performance in wins vs. No. 10 SFU and TWU... Was 9-12 from floor, and 11-15 from the line for 29 points against SFU... Also had two huge alley-oop dunks that night, as well as a big block on a layup attempt by Bains in the closing minutes... Scored 21 points and had nine boards vs. TWU... Had a career-high 17 rebounds at Lethbridge 1/24/04... Also took three charges that night... Tied a career-high with three assists at Winnipeg 1/17/04... Had streak of eight consecutive double-doubles in conference games broken when he had nine rebounds against the Wesmen... Established a new career-high with 33 points in an overtime win at Manitoba 1/16/04... His 14 field goals made that game were the most in Canada West this season... Had a tip-in with 2.3 seconds left in regulation to tie the game... Scored six of the Dogs’ ten points in overtime... Also had 12 boards in that game... Named Canada West Athlete of the Week after his performance in the Huskies two wins over No. 4 Calgary... Had 21 points and 11 rebounds on 1/9/04 vs. the Dinos... Was 10-14 from the field for 25 points and 10 boards the next night... Named to the All-Tournament team at the Tom Byron Classic in Santa Barbara, California just after Christmas... Was 14-17 from the floor, and 13-13 from the line in the two games at the Classic, averaging 20.5 points and 9.0 boards per game... Nine of his 13 rebounds at No. 5 Alberta 11/29/03 were on the offensive end... Also had 19 points that night... Went for 26 points and 12 rebounds at No. 5 Alberta 11/28/03 when he was 9-11 from the floor and 8-11 from the line... Had 22 points and 10 rebounds in victory over Lethbridge 11/21/03... Started his conference double-double streak at Victoria when he had 14 points and career-best 14 boards... His ten defensive rebounds tied his career-high... Played career-high 39 minutes in tough two-point loss to Regina, setting new mark with four steals... Had 23 points that afternoon against the Cougars... Established a career-high with 14 rebounds in win over Brandon to open conference play... Named to All-Tournament team at the Cameco Shootout hosted by Saskatchewan when he averaged 21.3 points and 9.3 boards in three games... Scored 28 points in only his third career game vs. Victoria 10/24/03 at the Shootout... Added 13 rebounds that night for his first career double-double, and was 11-13 from the floor.

High School: Played for coach Paul Humbert, a former Huskie guard, at Aden Bowman Collegiate Institute in Saskatoon... Played two years for the senior squad... As a senior was the Bears leading scorer and rebounder... Was a team captain... Bears finished 26-6 overall... Led the team to the 5A Provincial Championship, and scored a career-high 39 points in the provincial final... Also helped the Bears win the City Championship... Had 20 rebounds in the city final... Named Saskatchewan Player of the Year by the Saskatoon Star Phoenix...Named City Player of the Year by the Saskatoon Star Phoenix... Named First Team All-City by the same publication... Averaged a city-high 27.0 points per game... Also averaged 18 rebounds per game as well as 3.5 blocks... Was held under 20 points only twice all season... Named MVP at the Mount Royal Tip-Off Classic and Winnipeg Invitational Tournament (hosted by Tec Voc)... Bears captured the title at both events... Had 26 rebounds in the WIT final... Was a tournament All-Star at the Bedford Road Invitational Tournament... Won the BRIT slam dunk contest... Was also a tournament All-Star at the Balfour Classic in Regina... Finished third in Balfour's open slam dunk competition... Averaged over two dunks a game... As a junior helped the Bears to a second place finish in the city... Also finished third at the Provincial Championships... Averaged 17 points per game... Led the team in rebounding, averaging 13 boards per game... Named First Team All-City by the Saskatoon Star Phoenix... Also named City Rookie of the Year by the same publication... Named tournament MVP at the Airdrie, Alberta Bert Church Invitational... Bears won the BCI title... Was a tournament All-Star at the Bedford Road Invitational Tournament... Team won the BRIT consolation title... Bears team awarded him the Pride, Hustle and Desire Award... Playing on the junior varsity as a sophomore, he was named team MVP... Led the team to a second place finish at the City Junior Boys Championships... Was an alternate for the Saskatchewan Juvenile (U17) Provincial team in summer of 2001... Played his club basketball for the Junior Huskies... Will graduate in June of 2003.

Personal: Born November 2, 1985 in Saskatoon, SK... Parents are C. Darcy Jones and Marc Spagrud...Has one older sister, Lara, and one older brother, Patrick... Lara played basketball at Red Deer College... Huskie assistant coach Kirk Jones is his uncle... Was an academic Honour Roll student all four years in high school... Says his favourite player is Stephon Marbury of the Phoenix Suns... Suns are also his favourite team.
